ABOUT THE NCC:
The National Coalition of Chiefs was introduced through meetings of a group of Chiefs who were interested in forming a coalition of leaders with a mandate to defeat on-reserve poverty.
OUR APPROACH:
To focus on creating positive and cooperative dialogue between First Nation Chiefs and leaders from Canada’s Natural Resource Industry.
OUR GOAL:
To bridge the gap between First Nation Communities and Canada’s Natural Resource Industry, and encourage economic development through active and positive community participation in Natural Resource Projects.
OUR PURPOSE:
To bring together Industry Leaders and Pro-Development First Nation Chiefs to discuss how development can end on-reserve poverty.
